Mullen Coughlin UK Partner Richard Hall presents on two sessions at FSN Publishing’s CyberCFO Conference on June 12, 2025 in London.

During his first session, “What Are the Legal Consequences of a Data Breach,” Rich demystifies the legal and regulatory landscape surrounding data breaches. Using Mullen Coughlin’s collective experience in handling almost 1,300 data privacy and security incidents as of March 2025, Rich guides attendees through their obligations and responsibilities, during and after an incident occurs at their organization, so that they are able to navigate the complex legal, regulatory and reputational risks following a breach.

Rich also joins an interactive panel discussion, “Evolving Threats and Practical Strategies for Finance Leaders,” to provide his Breach Counsel insights on practical strategies for preparing for, and responding to, data privacy and security incidents.

NetDiligence Cyber Risk Summit San Diego 2025

Continuing our long-standing relationship with NetDiligence, Mullen Coughlin is proud to support the 2025 “Cyber Risk Summit” in San Diego from May 13-15 as a Silver-level sponsor.

During the first day of the conference, Managing Member Jennifer Coughlin joins a panel of cyber insurance and cyber law professionals on the “2024 Claims & Losses Review” panel. Using recent insights and statistics from almost 1,300 data privacy and security incidents handled as of March 2025 (and over 4,000 in 2024), Jenn and the panel examine a variety of cyber claims and their reported losses incurred from various data privacy and security incidents. Mullen Coughlin Welcomes Two Litigation Associates

This past April, Mullen Coughlin’s Litigation practice welcomed two (2) new associates to the practice – Bacilio Mendez II and Bianca Valcarce.

Bacilio Mendez II joins the Firm in California with over five (5) years of litigation experience. He routinely defends organizations in single-plaintiff, class action and B2B litigation arising from data privacy and security incidents, as well as violations of state and federal consumer protection and data privacy laws. Bacilio received his J.D. from Golden Gate University School of Law and is licensed to practice in California.

Bianca Valcarce is based in Devon and has over six (6) years of commercial itigation experience. Concentrating her practice on data breach and related litigation, Bianca takes a practical approach to supporting her clients’ litigation efforts by developing creative legal strategies guided by an understanding of her clients’ particular financial, operational and business needs. Bianca received her J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School and is licensed to practice in Pennsylvania and the District of Columbia.
